Dr. Celene Salgado-Miranda was born in Toluca, Mexico. She graduated from the State of Mexico Autonomous University (UAEM) as zootechnician veterinarian. She has a Master Degree in Animal Health. She also has a Doctorate in Sciences for animal production and health, by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She’s a professor and researcher in the Animal Health Advanced Studies Research Centre at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in UAEM. Her research focuses in rainbow trout and bird health. She’s autor of several scientific articles regarding fish and bird microbiology. Such articles have been published in several journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports. Currently she holds the status of National Researcher-Level 1 by SNI (National System of Researchers).
Her formation as a photographer is due several courses and workshops lectured by diverse independent, both domestic and international photographers. Celene along doctor Edgardo Soriano-Vargas have presented their work in several academic venues in Mexico. She’s a member of the Mexican Community of Nature Photographers since 2014, and since 2017 she has been appointed as their representative for the State of Mexico.
Currently she, and Dr. Soriano-Vargas, are working in the Avian Photographic Registry of Mexico, which involves a collection of potentially 1116 bird species from Mexico.
