Dr. Celene Salgado-Miranda was born in Toluca, Mexico. Doctor in Sciences for animal production and health, by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She’s a professor and researcher at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.
Doctor Soriano-Vargas is a zootechnician veterinarian and professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) He’s been a CONACyT trainee. Currently he’s a National Researcher-Level 2 by the National System of Researchers.
Biologist with a Master Degree in Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences, and Geographic Information Systems specialist, by the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.
JP Medina is currently a PhD. student at the University of Manitoba. He collaborates with iBIRDS in international projects related to bird monitoring. Leading the only banding station for owls in Mexico.

Freelance designer and illustrator, within the fields of entertainment, conservation and outreach, education, and licensing.
Zootechnician veterinarian graduated from the State of Mexico Autonomous University (UAEM) interested in invasive species and reptiles. He collaborated with iBIRDS as a field-technician in bird monitoring, and invasive species projects.
Biologist. Graduated from State of Mexico Autonomous University (UAEM). He has carried out studies about mushroom diversity, ethnobiology, and ecosystem services. He's currently developing a project on bird diversity in collaboration with iBIRDS.
B.A. in English. Graduated from the State of Mexico Autonomous University (UAEM), where she is now an English professor. Karla also studied Biology (UAEM). She carried out her social service within the Ethology staff at Zacango Zoo, in Mexico. She has also performed as a biology field-technician in bird monitoring projects. Currently, she collaborates with iBIRDS in projects on bird diversity.
Veterinary and zootechnics intern at State of Mexico Autonomous University (UAEM). She enjoys nature; she’s a landscape photographer. Conservation medicine for endemic species is among her interests. Grecia collaborates with iBIRDS in bird, fish, and amphibian research. She’s currently working in her thesis project.
Bacteriologist and Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Graduated from Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca (UCMC), Bogota, Colombia. In 2018, she obtained a scholarship from iBIRDS to carry out a research stay in Toluca, State of Mexico, and completing training in diagnosis and research in Veterinary Microbiology. Currently, she collaborates with iBIRDS in microbiological research in wild birds.
